At the airport
Singtel, StarHub and M1 all run counters at Changi arrivals, selling tourist SIMs with a set data allowance valid for a fixed number of days. Convenient, slightly pricier than buying in town.
eSIM options
If your phone supports eSIM, providers like Airalo let you buy and activate a Singapore data plan before you even land — worth it if you want connectivity the moment you’re off the plane.
Longer stays
For digital nomads or anyone staying more than a couple of weeks, a prepaid SIM from a convenience store (7-Eleven carries several) works out cheaper than the airport tourist packages, and top-ups are easy everywhere.
Wifi
Coverage is excellent almost everywhere — cafes, malls and hawker centres generally have free wifi, so even without a local SIM you’re rarely offline for long.
